Forest of Dean Climate Action Partnership is a community partnership established to help enable a district-wide response to the climate and ecological emergencies.

It brings together residents, organisations and community groups from across the district to deliver action through collaboration, empowerment and knowledge sharing, with the imperative of driving the district to become carbon neutral by 2030.

It supports rapid decarbonisation and the development of sustainable and resilient communities, enterprises and ecosystems, ensuring a just transition.

  1. Provide a service that enables an increasing flow and exchange of information to help create better-informed communities.
  2. Enable individuals, groups and organisations to see what is already being done across the district and understand how to get involved with existing initiatives or start new initiatives.
  3. Provide access to information resources and tools to combat climate change, that draw on experience and best practice, increase climate knowledge, and show people the positive actions that can be taken.
  4. Increase activity in the district by promoting activity by local organisations and individuals, so to increase collaboration and learning across the district.
